This is about the best that you can expect from the "drive-by" photo, included with an MLS listing. It's not a bad picture, but it's rather mundane and does not especially catch your attention. Some elements (like the utility pole) are positively undesirable. Also note that the "drive-by" MLS photo is limited to one picture of the front of the house--our photo shoot includes interior & exterior photos!! If you think we are misrepresenting the quality of the photos on the MLS, go to www.realtracs.com and decide for yourself! Note, however, that agents are able to upload and replace any photos for their listings, so not all the pictures you find here will be examples of "drive-by" photos. |
By using a wide-angle lens, we are able to step closer to the house, and get a picture with fewer obstructions (e.g. mailboxes, utility poles) and greater emphasis on the house. The picture is taken with a high-quality, seven megapixel digital camera and brought back to our office for further processing. Using image-editing software, we can enhance the colors and contrast of the image to create a picture of the house on a sunny, pleasant day. We can also digitally remove visual distractions and incidental objects, ensuring that it is your home which is showcased, rather than these distractions. This type of editing can be especially important in interior photos, where we also employ wide-angle lenses and photographic lens filters, and digitally "stitch" together panoramic pictures to ensure that each room in your home is accurately and attractively featured. |
